This PlushBeds mattress review takes an in-depth look at the brand and their mattresses, customer reviews, promotions, and more to help you decide if their products are worth buying.
Overview of PlushBeds Mattress
When the father of Michael Hughes, Managing Director of PlushBeds, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 40, Michael learned that exposure to certain environmental chemicals can increase the risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. When his daughter was born, Michael and his wife did thorough research and removed as many chemicals as possible from their household. This meant looking for healthy, toxin-free mattresses.
They realized that these types of products were not easy to find and that most mattresses were made of materials such as urethane foams that were covered in potentially harmful fire barriers. So in 2007, the Hugheses founded PlushBeds to create healthier sleeping options for themselves and others.
For over 10 years, they have become one of America’s largest manufacturers of affordable natural and organic latex mattresses thanks to their high standards and commitment to an excellent customer experience. PlushBeds vows to remain an all-American company. They make every mattress themselves in their 80,000 square foot factory in Camarillo, California.

Botanical Bliss Mattress

The Botanical Bliss is the right mattress if you suffer from back problems or other pain. It is recommended by orthopaedists and chiropractors. This plush mattress is very comfortable and supportive, and thanks to the pressure point relief, you should feel supple and pain-free in the morning. Just look at that contouring!
With the Botanical Bliss you can choose between Medium and Firm. Medium is the most popular option, ideal for side sleepers and most sleepers. The firm version is suitable for people weighing over 275 pounds, stomach sleepers and back sleepers. The firmness level you choose determines the order of the latex layers your mattress comes in, and you can even swap the layers to switch between Medium and Firm!
The Botanical Bliss features layers of organic latex and a cover made from breathable, machine-washable organic cotton and organic wool for natural temperature regulation. A PlushBeds Botanical Bliss review from SleepAdvisor states that this mattress is suitable for people who want more bounce and are prone to overheating during sleep, as well as people who value eco-friendly products.
The Botanical Bliss mattress is available for $999-$2798 depending on size. It also comes in three different heights – 9“, 10” or 12” – so the prices go up from there.
Luxury Bliss Mattress

The Luxury Bliss is a premium hybrid latex mattress with a supportive organic latex top layer and a breathable, machine washable organic cotton cover with a cool organic wool barrier to protect you from overheating at night. The outer wool layer is fire resistant, and you never know if or when this might protect you in a late night house fire (knock on wood).
The Luxury Bliss features a fabric encased coil core that sets it apart from other hybrid beds on the market: While typical interlocking coils can cause uncomfortable pressure points, the Luxury Bliss’ fabric-encased coils respond individually to pressure throughout the body. The result is superior support, minimal motion transfer and a comfortable, exhilarating night’s sleep.
The Luxury Bliss mattress is available in medium and medium-firm. The layers are fixed, so you should choose the one that works best for you (medium is best for side sleepers and most sleepers, while medium-firm is beneficial for stomach and back sleepers). This PlushBeds mattress costs between $799 and $1,798.
Cool Bliss Mattress

The Cool Bliss is PlushBeds’ premium model with gel memory foam that contains 5 layers of comfort that work together to provide a better night’s sleep: an airy stretch organic cotton cover, 3 inches of patented memory foam for pressure absorption, a supportive layer of 2 inches of natural latex, followed by a supportive 5-inch core and orthopedic foundation options.
Buyers can choose between natural spruce or an adjustable sleep surface. I would probably choose the latter option as it is a higher value. The Cool Bliss is rated as medium soft with minimal to no motion transfer. It’s almost as luxurious as memory foam without being absurdly expensive. The mattress costs between $1,049 and $2,198, depending on the size.

Our Verdict
In this PlushBeds mattress review, we give our impression of PlushBeds and explain whether or not the mattresses are worth buying. According to our research, buying from PlushBeds makes sense if you value a natural, organic and high quality mattress and are prepared to put together and try out a mattress that may not suit you in the end. After all, everyone is different, and what is comfortable and pain-relieving for one person may not be for another – mattresses really are about trial and error.
If you decide to give PlushBeds a try, remember that even the most reputable and trustworthy brands have some negative reviews. There is a chance that you may have a problem that other customers have had, but it is more likely that you will have a positive experience with PlushBeds. If the mattress doesn’t meet your expectations, you can simply return it (more on this in the FAQ section of the PlushBeds mattress review).
